The Town Drunk

“Well, isn’t that precious,” as the Church Lady used to say on Saturday Night Live years ago.

The Sec Def, who got his job because he agreed to keep his mouth shut over the fake Bin Laden killing, IMO “…acknowledged that the U.S. has assumed the authority to conduct targeted assassinations of U.S. citizens on the recommendations of the CIA Director and the Secretary of Defense and pursuant to the President’s authorization.” Prison Planet.com Feb 23, 2012.

Am I the only one who sees a lot of danger in that?

Please tell me, where the due process is, in the reality that the CIA, who have had a checkered past, has the ability to determine who terrorist are.

It is precisely that which our founders fought against and therefore established the 4th Amendment to the Constitution. All that power in the hands of someone that resembles a king is downright dangerous.

The ACLU has filed suit against the Department of Defense to reveal the process to determine who should be on the CIA “kill list.” As they put it,
“The public has a right to know the evidence and legal basis for the deliberate targeted killing of U.S. citizens,” the ACLU’s Wessler said. “So chilling a power must be opened to public scrutiny and debate.”

How could the American people ever allow this group of incompetents to continue governance over this country one minute longer than they are allowed? If we reelect this administration, again it is like putting the town drunk back behind the wheel.

About Me

Welcome to Graig Thinks!
